Still, not much. I have 2 brothers named Michael now(cause my oldest sister just got married) and I have an art show soon; wonder what pieces are going in from my class? Probably just spheres and crap, maybe somebody's personal series(the only project so far that we got to choose what to do).

Now, I may or may not post another journal between now and 2012(probably not), so.....

MERRY KWANZUKAH! ANd a happy new year~! right. I'm not funny, but deal with it.

I realize I haven't uploaded anything in a while or reaaly been online at all. Mr. H still hasn't given us back the first projects we did at the beginning of the year, they're not too interesting, but I haven't had much time for anything else. Well, we're SUPPOSEDLY getting everything back tomorrow..... we'll see, we'll see.

More or less, making sure nobody thinks I've died, gotten mono, or had that yoga class from upstairs above the artroom cave in on me while innocently measuring out my notional space. So, yeah.
I feel so much SMARTER. I know what a sinister and barouque is, how to make a mandala or elipse like the back of my hand, good god, I think I may even have memorzed  that godforsaken umbrella project(you'll see). Not even mentioning art history (which I have an A in(which makes me feel both very smart and dorky)).

HALLELUJAH!I'm intelligent! Though I still couldn't probably name a single senator.... oh well.

I started school a few weeks ago and I'm loving it. Art class is a pain because it's three hours of sitting on drawing horses. We just finished MaNdalas and have learned the line work for bottles. My first Art History test is monday and tomorrow we do our second critique on our own class (We did critiques w/ upperclassmen before), the first was a WIP critigue on the Final MaNdala Project, now we all finished, so we do our first finished work critique. AND this weekend I get to make art cards for my classmates. Should be fun!

In other news, I have decided to be pikachu for halloween, rather than buy a costume, though, I'm going to buy a yellow hoodie and sew on ears, tail, stripes. To complete the look I'm going to make a pokeball bag for my candy and paint red circles on my cheeks.AT my school, we're allowed to wear our costumes and the art department has a costume contest for all the majors.

Finally! And perhaps the MOST EXCITING OF ALL! I got my braces off and got my second ever pair of glasses! The perscription is higher and they're brown, which I didn't plan it to, but it makes my blue eyes pop a lot, especially in comparison to when I had my bright red glasses.

haha. I'm up late watching Aliens. I find the whole thing funny in a way because the main character played the posessed lady in Ghostbusters. It adds a tad bit of unintended humor. Plus there's a kid named 'newt', so yeah.
I'm doing this because I haven'y written a journal in a long time. I used up my vermont vacation, my one friend flipped over the front of a segway and my brother, sister, two of my friends, and I went to the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows (part 2). We had twig wands and crappy costumes and I wore my official Ravenclaw scarf, it was great. There was one guy who looked EXACTLY like Harry Potter who kept shushing us through the whole movie. I screamed  with glee when Neville got Nagini. (Neville Longbottom fangirl)

School starts on Aug. 29 and I have to read Cat's Cradle but lost my copy..... woops. I enthusiastically dragged my mom to Dick Blick when I got my ART supply list. New portfolio, notebooks, drawing pencils, I even was required to get an artbox. More or less, from the outside, it looks like a purple toolbox. Frankly, that's about all it is.

Otherwise, my life is about as boring as usual.

FREEDOM!
Nothing is really going on right now, but I'mdone being grounded and can officially enjoy my summer break. Truthfully, I am anxious for my vacation trips to come around and even for school to start, but those are still some ways off so I'll have to wait.
My sister's birthday party was yesterday and it was fun because I get along with almost all her friends really well. Alex tried to teach me piano, which didn't work, and I realized I am horrile at mario cart, but I'm even worse at Smash Brothers.
